Social Media marketing is all about relationship building. The foundation of your social media marketing is your content. The idea is to create interesting, valuable content and sharing that content on various social media platforms and blogs.

I’m all about keeping it simple. When creating content for your audience keep these simple tips in mind:

Make it readable. Be a storyteller. Make it interesting to read and interesting to look at. Have good structure, which might include: subtitles, bulletpoints, lists or bold lettering to highlight points.

Make it “shareable”. Make sure your blog has easy to use share buttons so people can quickly and easily post YOUR content with THEIR networks. Craft your Twitter posts so that they are short enough to be retweeted and your followers can add a few words when sharing it.

Make it delicious! Create inspiring, valuable, awesome content that is so compelling people want to share it. What is your expertise? What can you share with your audience that is valuable? Now put it into words that drives your audience to act by sharing it.

What do you enjoy reading? What makes the blogs you follow, or articles and newsletters you read come back for more? Focus on that and translate it into your content.

Don’t forget to have fun. Your readers will sense it and appreciate it.
