Facebook Business Pages

The most important thing you can do when setting up your Facebook page is to utilize every available feature to your best advantage. When someone lands on your page you want to be able to clearly convey what it is your do, specifically and set yourself apart from the rest. Make sure you are highlighting the best of your brand in every possible way. Here are 3 great ways to do this with Facebook’s layout:

1) Create a well-branded cover photo: This is the first thing your visitors will see. Make it memorable! People should be able to recognize what you do from the message your photo is giving.

2) Tell us ABOUT your brand: The “About” section of Timeline is the opportunity to give a description of your brand. Think of a brief but effective description and include a link to your blog or website.

3) Milestone: This is a very clever feature. This feature allows you to enter events with dates that relate to your business. It’s an opportunity to showcase your business’s history. You may want to create a milestone of the day your business started, when a new product launched or maybe even when you reached a certain number of “likes”. Showcase milestones that are interesting and tell your story.

For some businesses, the Timeline format took some “adjusting”. I have noticed a lot of creativity with the layout. What is your favorite feature? Please share in the comments below.
